Alicia V. Allen is a native of Paterson, NJ. Her favorite color is pink. Alicia relocated to North Carolina 15 years ago to attend the first HBCU in the south, Shaw University. After graduating with her Bachelor of Social Work degree, she hit the ground running. Alicia has over ten years of experience as a social worker in the nonprofit agency sector. Case management, Advocacy, policy/program development, and trauma-informed care are a few of her specialty areas.

She knows the importance of having a soft handoff for areas where one needs help; this drives her professionally and is one reason she loves working at StepUp ministry. She can love the populations served well and participate in their transformative journey.
