David Sousa
David Sousa has a passion for nonprofit board work and remains engaged with the healthcare community across a range of issues.
He is a retired lawyer and businessman, having practiced law in Raleigh for fifteen years, where he represented physicians in the defense of malpractice claims throughout North Carolina. He holds a JD degree from Wake Forest University and his M.B.A. and B.A. from the University of Kentucky. He is a Permanent Member of the U.S. Court of Appeals Judicial Conference for the Fourth Circuit, and is admitted to practice before that court, the U.S. Supreme Court, and all N.C. state and federal district courts. He is married to Bettie Kelley Sousa, and they have two adult children.
