Coastal Credit Union Sponsors Digital Literacy Class at StepUp
The Kramden Institute returned to StepUp to present the Digital Literacy Class to the alumni ambassadors and their teens. This five-week program, sponsored by Coastal Credit Union, allowed adults and their teens to learn about hardware and software, internet security, and financial freedom. Parents were educated on parental controls to monitor online computer access with their teens. At the end of the program, each family received two laptops for their homes, complete with one-year tech support subscriptions. In addition, StepUp Ministry provided laptop bags with other goodies for each adult/child completing the class.
“We are pleased to support StepUp Ministry’s employment and life skills programs,” said Creighton Blackwell, Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Community Engagement for Coastal Credit Union. “This program allows Life Skills graduates to continue building professional skills and stability for themselves and their families.”
