Jobs Team Volunteers

The Jobs Team at StepUp Ministry hosts bi-weekly Employment Training weeks where they are fortunate enough to work with people that are dedicated to gaining and maintaining employment. Upon completion of Jobs Week, employment-ready participants are invited to attend ENER-G sessions. ENER-G is a weekly meeting with the simple goal to motivate participants to use the skills they have learned to secure employment. It is a great opportunity to network with employers such as, Wake County Public Schools and Fred Smith Construction, as well as valuable resources like, Coastal Federal Credit Union and the Boys and Girls Club.


            Opportunities for employment and resources like these are exciting because they assist individuals toward their paths to stability, but none of it would be possible without the support of our incredible volunteers. The Jobs Team volunteers are instrumental in the success of the participants who come through the program. They conduct mock interviews, assist with resume writing/editing, facilitate one-on-one coaching, and provide meals for the workshops.

             The volunteers are equally passionate about supporting the staff.  They continue to assist with strategic planning, development and many other ways to serve. Here at StepUp, we wholeheartedly believe that “There is nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer.”
