Career Transitions will become a program of Wake Tech’s Human Resource Development division in January 2016 and will be retitled Career Transitions Forum (CTF).

Career Transitions has helped thousands of unemployed and underemployed people. The new partnership with Wake Tech will foster the continuation and expansion of this effort, providing programs and counseling aimed at building the job-search skills and confidence necessary in today’s competitive marketplace. CTF will continue to bring in representatives of major triangle companies, leading staffing and search firms, and selected career counselors to offer expertise and advice, in addition to Wake Tech staff and advisors.

The first weekly meeting of the Career Transitions Forum will be 9:30-11:30 a.m., Thursday, January 14th at its new location: Trinity Baptist Church, 4815 Six Forks Road, Raleigh. Gail McCowan of Wake Tech HRD, a former manager with GE and IBM, will lead the group. Career Transitions volunteer advisors will continue in their roles at the new Wake Tech group.
