Life Skills Update
During the last three months, participants in Phase I of the Life Skills Program have learned about topics such as group dynamics, decision-making, anger and stress management, and spiritual foundations. On September 9th, participants had a chance to meet their co-partners, which provides an additional layer of support for completing the Life Skills Program. Co-Partners are volunteers from the community that walk alongside our participants for the last nine months of the Life Skills Program. Participants in Phase I at our Christ Church site closed out the phase on September 16th and kick off Phase II on September 23rd, which is our Financial Literacy phase. Participants will have the opportunity to track their income and expenses, learn about credit, and get a better handle on managing their financial resources.
